Getting over the wall.

-Note Proof-Reading pending, Please excuse any errors! (Edit: 3months later, never did any proof reading. Just, ignore it ok :P)

In an endurance sport they have a term which is "Hitting the Wall" that is when you begin to feel greatly fatigued and have a loss in energy. This is caused by losing glycogen. Ok wait, I know I have probably lost you already but its alright. Hitting the wall is very much like life. Everyone hits it, the point where you feel you cant move on, total depression etc. Usually happens after a loss of someone you cared for. It is here you no longer have the drive to press on. Especially in the teen years, after break ups this tends to happen.

The same can be said for your spiritual walk, for those of you who believe. When you hit a wall, or a stumbling block in your walk, you tend to feel very distant from God, you wonder if your even saved. This is actually a very good thing because your actually putting thought of it and are aware of the issue at hand. The first step is admitting you have a problem :) then pray about it plenty. I know you've heard it before but seriously pray. God has a reason for everything, we just cant see it. While your at it, don't be afraid to start reading the Bible, maybe you will find an answer there! Or go seek out an elder in your church. Talk to your pastor, they should be willing to help! (However I cannot give a guarantee on this because sadly, humans are humans, and we all sin)

For now lets go back to the wall we hit in life. When we hit this wall we no longer wanna move on, we feel the pain and the pressure wearing down on us. Our life seems, slow, sad, depressing and maybe pointless even! However much like a runner on a long endurance run we have to press forward, overcome all the obstacles. If we do life will be so much sweeter in the end. You as a person, no matter your age, no matter your sex, no matter your personal life, have so much potential you couldn't use it all in numerous lifetimes. When the runner, finishes his/her's race the reward is so much more than a shiny medal. It's the experience. Life is an experience, waiting for you to choose how you wish to experience it. You could, give up and be the runner who gained nothing, or you could keep going and be the runner who won it all.
